The Laingsburg Lions Club was chartered on June 23, 1948.

While the Laingsburg Lions Club is a local chapter of Lions International, the largest community service organization with over 1,350,000 members and 46,000+ clubs in over 200 countries worldwide, our primary focus is that of our local community.

Laingsburg Lions Club is a community action organization that serves not only those at the local level but also those at the state and national levels.  We offer community-minded individuals the opportunity to join in good fellowship and to help their fellow community minded members at a variety of levels.

At the state and national level, our organization may contribute, to programs such as or including:   White Cane, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Braille Transcribing, Radio Talking Book, Drug Awareness, Diabetes Awareness, and other programs. Opportunities to provide any leadership experiences they have exist at all levels. Do you have what it takes and would you like to lead a diverse organization and be a District Governor? These types of options are available to you.

We are in need of Laingsburg Lions Club members who feel they would like to give some of their time back to their community. To continue to provide the services we provide takes members who have a desire to help their community be successful and friendly. All we ask of our fellow Lions is that they find their own niche in our organization where they can serve effectively.  We are all limited by time and personal committments and only ask that you share with us the time you can provide. I can guarantee it will make your heart feel good knowing you have given something back to the community in which you participate in, live in, shop in, and enjoy in.

So you might be asking where does the money come from for the various projects we take on? Most of the money is raised from our Springtime Festival and through the hosting of Millionaire Parties (Texas Holdem Tournaments and play). Laingsburg Lion Club members can, expected to, and will be called upon to donate some of their time in order to achieve the goals of the Lions board.

Our organziation has no employees. Members volunteer their time without compensation in any form. We accept members with no basis on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, political affiliation, union membership, or veteran status.

Membership is by invitation. If you feel you would like to be involved in our work, contact any Lion member. Talk to them. Ask them questions. At the top of our home webpage is our contact phone number. Go ahead and call if you have any questions about becoming a Laingsburg Lions Club member.

Our motto is, "We Serve".
